Ewe Sky Socks
The Ewe people live mostly in Ghana and Togo, their textiles are similar to the Kente of their neighbouring Ashanti in Ghana, but they are woven of cotton.
This pattern was developed from a recurring symbol we saw in some of their designs.
A crew length sock that sits about 6 inches above the ankle. Ewe is a comfortable and breathable cotton knit sock. Teal, cream, turquoise and mustard.
With the sale of each pair of socks, a donation from profits is given to the 9Miles Project.
9Miles Project is a registered non-profit organisation that was founded in Cape Town in 2013. The project works with youth in coastal informal settlements and provides mentorship and support to the at-risk youth in the areas of Cape Town, Elands Bay, and St Francis Bay.
