Kente Socks
Kente socks are inspired by the rich colours, symbolic motifs and beautiful weaving of the Kente cloth from Ghana. Originally these textiles were woven out of silks and cottons and worn by royalty wrapped like a toga. Each colour and symbol bares significance.
A crew length sock that sits about 6 inches above the ankle. A comfortable and cotton and polyester knit sock.
With the sale of each pair of socks, a donation from profits is given to the 9Miles Project.
9Miles Project is a registered non-profit organisation that was founded in Cape Town in 2013. The project works with youth in coastal informal settlements and provides mentorship and support to the at-risk youth in the areas of Cape Town, Elands Bay, and St Francis Bay.
