Ashanti Socks
Although this pattern is not a typical Kente our inspiration came from the Kente Cloth Textiles of the Akan people in the Ashanti Kingdom of Ghana.
A crew length sock that sits about 5/6 inches above the ankle. Ashanti is a comfortable and breathable cotton knit sock.
With the sale of each pair of socks, a donation from profits is given to the 9Miles Project.
9Miles Project is a registered non-profit organisation that was founded in Cape Town in 2013. The project works with youth in coastal informal settlements and provides mentorship and support to the at-risk youth in the areas of Cape Town, Elands Bay, and St Francis Bay.
